“The Starry Night Cafe Table was inspired partly by a dish that I used to have and partly by some Trend material catalogues that showed a variety of what could be done along the lines of royal blue and gold; a rather fabulous combination that we know so well from the Madonna images of the Byzantine masters. Whilst making it it struck me that it also bears a resemblance of the EU flag, which would look lovely in these materials.
As you can see the images here are still on paper, my choice of grout in this case was royal blue.” Arendse says.
